About
I design the places where interfaces, agents, and physical hardware meet.
I'm an interaction designer who prototypes in code. I started in industrial design, moved into product UX, and spent the last several years on voice, multimodal, and ambient devices. These days I'm focused on how agents and physical products earn trust, and on building the evals and prototypes that test it.
Path
- Quirky. First industrial designer. Shipped consumer products from concept through manufacturing and started the interaction design practice.
- Huge. Interaction design lead on interaction models and information architecture for large media and finance clients.
- Amazon Alexa. Designed proactive features, contributed to Alexa Presentation Language (APL), and built multi-modal prototypes in React.
- Google. Interaction design for consumer hardware and ambient experiences, from device UI to companion apps to launch.
- Now. Building AI evals and prototypes about how agents and devices share trust, attention, and control.
Current work
- Ambient Autonomy Eval: An eval for how far an ambient agent should act on its own.
- Safety Line: A cited Q&A tool over public safety guidance for physical and ambient AI.
- Substack: Essays on agents, interfaces, and hardware.
